Were you even aware that there IS technique to walk and stand? I bet not. Because I weren't. I mean, yes people with common sense know that running has a technique, singing has too... but walking and standing?! A bit ridiculous huh?

Ahh... before I come to the main content, I managed to skip school today!! Hahah, shiok! For those who are unaware, our team's actually due for a health check at SSC, so we had blood tests and X-ray at Camden Medical Centre last week. This time, we had to go to the Sports and Medical Research Centre at Kallang for the results, and well, just more checks.

Yep. That's how I got to know about all that standing and walking because it turns out that my backbone's a bit curve at the top. No it's not the result of slouching because I don't do that, in fact, it's caused by leaning my weight on one hip when I stand. Hey people who have the habit of doing that, don't! You don't want a neck tipping to one side do you? Yeah I realised that most girls like myself and Cheryl (teo) do that quite often. It happens whether or not we're tired from all that standing and well, I think some girls do that because it accentuates their hips and shows off their curvy figure right? Heh now that I'm more informed, I won't do that again- I don't want a neck like the leaning tower of Pisa!

Oh okay, I just remembered I have a picture to illustrate my posture...

There. SEE? I do that eveytime I'm on a standstill!


Now, the walking part. Actually, I still have no clue whether my walking technique is correct or not, just that the physiologist said that when I walk, I'm not supposed to just flop my knees but bend them properly with control.

You get it?

I don't, and neither does Yuling.

Aiya simple la... wear heels la! Heels- they make women's butts look smaller and tighter, give shape to calf muscles and now, they don't make us walk with flopping knees! Oh, plus, they add height to petite Asians. Okay the last part not for me, but yeah i'm pretty supportive of wearing heels anyway.

I ended the day with a sports massage given by a lady with name starting with the alphabet 'S'. Err.. Serene?Sarah? Shucks I don't remember. Hahah I only remembered her telling me that it's such a simple name and i just replied with a 'heh heh'. Oh yah she also told me to lay a thick towel on the floor and lie there for 15 mins to correct my posture because apparently my left shoulder's higher than my right. I reckon it's probably due to curling up when I sleep. I always had that habit since young and since i'm much 'longer' than my big bloster now, I tend to curl more to fully hug it. Hai what to do? I'm too young to get married and hug a man so for now, i'll just have to lie on the floor.

Alright, this pretty sums up everything for today.
